WHY...
What do we mean by "Test The Spirits" ?

In the first of the three letters written by John, he writes to the Churches at that time who were being misled in their thinking about Jesus and God (their theology).  He tied very closely together the concepts of correct thinking and correct action, and asks them to "...test the spirits" using those two concepts as his standards.  Using that same pattern, we want all discussion on this website to be guided and judged by the level to which it lives up to the standards of correct thinking and correct action as passed down to us both in the Bible and through the Historical Christian Church.

What this site IS
This site is here to promote belief in God as known through the Historic Christian Church.  We are here to encourage not only those who already believe, but also those who are seeking a greater understanding about Christianity, to look into the core teachings of the church through the ages as a guide to what Christianity truly means.  We are a forum for discussion about practical issues, theology, and Church history.   All of this is done with the purpose of promoting belief in the Christian God.
What this site IS NOT
This site is not here as a chat room for general religious discussion.  We do not have automatic posting here, so all comments are reviewed before posting by our staff.  We are not here to debate whether or not the views expressed here are true in relation to other religions, we are here to promote one specific religion through uplifting, reasonable discussion of the issues and topics presented here.
What we want from you
This is not to say that if you disagree with the views expressed here that you should not join in the discussion.  We simply want reasonable questions and discussions for the purpose of clarifying the meaning of Christianity. We ask everyone who contributes to provide clear, concise, and well thought out comments.
