OUR MISSION
        PoliticsInOklahoma.com is here for the purpose of facilitating greater citizen involvement in the politics of both the State of Oklahoma and the United States.  It is our belief that a more educated and involved population will be better able to effectively oversee the money and power they have provided to those who govern them.  Governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and that consent is best given when it is an informed consent.  Here at PoliticsInOklahoma.com we have three main goals which work to support this; 
    1) Access to Government: This is why we continually search for links to Politics in Oklahoma and encourage all citizens to be aware of what is happening in Government on the Federal, State and Local levels. 
    2) Active Discussion:  We believe that politics does not need to be "the constant slinging of rhetorical accusations" that appears to be the mainstay of the national news media.  Discussion can be done in a civilized manner, which will be more productive to all of us. 
    3)  Accurate Information:   Sound bytes by their very nature are taken out of context.  The search for information requires a wider view of the situations being discussed.  We want to help provide more accurate information with clearer discussion of the issues at hand.
